Welcome to the SAMED x YES Alumni Programme, a ground breaking collaboration between the South African Medical Technology Industry Association (SAMED) and the Youth Employment Service (YES). Designed to address the needs of YES programme alumni who have completed a 12-month working experience at a MedTech company or affiliated implementation partner, but have not yet found employment. This platform provides a unique opportunity for talented individuals, to showcase their CVs to potential future employers in the medical technology industry.

Top benefits of SAMED x YES Alumni Programme
The platform offers employment opportunities for youth who have not yet found employment in the medical technology industry.
SAMED members have access to youth who have completed a 12-month working experience with a SAMED member or partner, gaining valuable MedTech job experience.
The platform provides an easy-to-use mechanism for showcasing youth CVs to potential employers.
SAMED members can assist youth who have not yet found employment to increase their chances of finding new work opportunities.
The platform helps build a talent pipeline for the MedTech industry by capacitating youth with industry knowledge.
- The SAMED x YES Alumni Programme is limited to YES Youth who, at a minimum, have completed a 12-month working experience at a MedTech company or YES affiliated implementation partner or host organisation. They must not have been employed post their 12-month programme.
- Neither YES nor SAMED can guarantee job placement or employment opportunities.
- The hiring decision lies with the employer.
- The availability of job opportunities depends on the demand from MedTech companies and other factors beyond the control of the platform, YES, and SAMED.
- Accuracy of information: YES Alumni must provide accurate and up-to-date (current) information on their CVs.
- Consent for CV sharing: uploading a CV is a clear sign of consent from YES Youth to share their CVs with potential employers or recruitment agencies and anyone else using the platform.
- YES and SAMED will not be liable for any claims arising out of the use of the platform. The platform is a neutral intermediary and does not endorse nor guarantee the actions or behaviour of employers or YES Youth.
- YES Youth are responsible for their interactions with potential employers. They are to exercise caution and conduct their own due diligence when engaging with employers or entering into employment agreements. The same applies to employers' interactions with youth.
- Data protection and privacy: data protection laws and regulations will apply.
- Modification and Termination: YES and SAMED reserve the right to terminate the platform at any time without prior notice to any and all users. This includes the deletion of all information residing on the platform that has been provided to YES and SAMED for use on the platform.
- Uploaded CVs are retained for an 18-month period after which they will be removed.
- Any CVs containing inappropriate or offensive content will be removed.
